Pike perch

Our Belgium pike perch is the European breed: Sander Lucioperca. Pike perch is well-known on the menu of many restaurants, particularly in Germany, France, Switserland, Austria and Eastern Europe.

Our customer base is also predominantly based in these markets and consists of RAS grow-out farmers, pond farmers and angler associations. Given our excellent location at the crosspoint between Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, we are well positioned to become the leading supplier of Pike Perch fingerlings in Europe.

• The bulk of our output is purchased in the 10-15gr. weight category. Pike perch fingerlings typically reach this stadium 3,5 months after eggs are laid. Given our specific infrastructure we prefer not to supply fingerlings over 30 grams in weight.
• Pike perch is known for its great taste. When bred for consumption,  it takes 10-12 months to reach an ideal weight of 900 – 1200 gram for optimum filet yield.

Together with our customers and the culinary world, we are eager to elevate the status of pike perch as a desirable freshwater fish on the menu in Benelux markets.
